DEA
Office of the President
Jeff Orlinsky
I am a teacher at Warren High School. I teach Biology, and Advanced Placement Biology. I started teaching at Warren in 1986 and I have been with the district 21 years. During that time, I have been a site representative, an executive board member, and most recently, your DEA Vice President and the negotiating team chair. I also was a CTA State Representative for nine years. As a CTA/DEA representative, I have had a lot of great opportunities to see how Federal, State, and Local educational issues affect the classroom teacher, and eventually our students. This is why I volunteer to be a part of the leadership of the Downey Education Association; I understand that Congress, our legislature, and our school board need classroom teachers to guide their decisions. Getting Involved:. I would like to encourage you to be an active member in the Association. Take advantage of the opportunities that arise to help you further your professional goals.
